Yuvraj and kiara reached the mansion.

kiara went to her room she needs to get ready as soon as possible coz its her birthday today, while yuvraj also going in his room, completly lost in thoughts of that girl.

He only saw a glimpse of her but he couldn't stop thinking about her. It's not that he hadn't seen any beautiful girls before, but she was the first one that had caught his attention.

I walked into the room,Sat down on the bed,Picked up my phone... tried to scroll a bit.

Checked some updates about ongoing project, but
I am not doing anything,

My mind keeps drifting,Again and again,To that girl.
"Who was she?And why the hell can't I stop thinking about her?"

"She didn't even do anything extraordinary."

No big moment,No story, why is she stuck in my head like this?I don't even know her.

FLASHBACK
It's raining.
She's standing under an open sky — she has umbrella, but she closes it, no hurry.
Hair damp, face lit up like the rain is her favorite song.
She lifts her hands slightly, palms open, letting the drops fall freely.

She spins once, just a little. Not dramatic.
Just... free.
Alive in a way he hasn't felt in a long time.

And him?
He's just watching, from a distance.

FLASHBACK ENDS

"I don't even know her",But that moment
The way she closed the umbrella like the rain belonged to her...
It won't leave me.
Why does that one scene replay like it means something?
It shouldn't."

"Will I ever meet her again?"
"what the fuck yuvra!!"
"What is wrong with you?"
"Talking like a fool about to meet a girl I don't even know."
No name. No story. No connection.
"So how... and why... would I even want to meet her again?"

He lets out a dry chuckle , more out of disbelief than humor.

The room is dimly lit. Yuvi glances at the wall clock — it's almost 5:30 PM. He's sitting on the bed, still in his casual clothes, phone in hand, clearly distracted.

(sighs heavily)huh
"5:30 already..."
"Guests will be here by 7."
"I should be getting ready."

He shakes his head , as if literally trying to knock the thought away — then stands up with a sigh

"No,Not now.push it aside Yuvraj you've got things to do.A life to show up for."

(He grabs a towel, walks into the bathroom. Switches on the light. Steam begins to rise as he turns on the shower.)

Vaani is sitting at her cabin in a neat office space. She is wearing a simple suit — black fabric, comfortable yet professional. Her
makeup is minimal: just a soft lip tint that adds a subtle glow, a small traditional bindi on her forehead that gives her a gentle elegance, and delicate, small jhumkas that quietly sparkle with every slight movement. She looks calm, confident, focused.

Vaani in a conference room, sitting across from a candidate

Vaani
"So, Ms. Mehta, how many years of experience do you have?"

Ms. Mehta
"Five and a half years in this field, ma'am."

(Vaani nods, listens carefully, jotting notes, asking few more questions The interview proceeds smoothly.)

Later, the interview ends. Ms. Mehta leaves. Vaani stretches slightly, relieved the session went we

Vaani's phone buzzes. She glances at the screen,it's her mother calling. She answers

Vaani:
"Hi, Maa."

Mom
"Beta, how's your day going? I thought I'd check in."

Vaani
"It's been good, Maa. Busy, but good. Just finished an interview."

Mom:
"That's great! You must be tired. Have you eaten properly today?"

Vaani (smiling):
"Not yet, Maa. I'm about to get some coffee now."

Mom:
"Don't skip your meals, beta. You need to take care of yourself.

Vaani:
"I will, Maa. Thanks for reminding me"

Mom
i Just wanted to remind you—today is Dadu's friend's granddaughter's birthday, and Dadu wants all of us to go together aaj tu jaldi aaja beta "

Vaani:
"Oh, okay maa"

Mom:
.We're all going together, so please try to come by 6 today."

Vaani:
"Got it, Maa. I'll leave work on time and try my best to be there early."

Mom:
"Good. Everyone's looking forward to seeing you. Don't forget, okay?"

Vaani:
"I won't. Thanks for letting me know."

They hang up. Vaani feels a warm sense of family and responsibility as she prepares for the evening.

(LATE AFTERNOON
Vaani is at her desk, typing calmly, wrapping up her work. The clock shows 5:28 PM. She saves her last file, closes her laptop.

(focused, soft)
"Dadu would kill me if I got late.
Okay... done for the day, lets go vaani."

(She picks up her tote bag, straightens her suit, and walks out of the office down the basement from 10th floor.)

She walks toward her Hyundai Creta, opens the door, and sits inside.

"Of course it had to rain today,Perfect timing."

She turns on the engine, soft instrumental music plays from the stereo, and she drives out into the light evening traffic.

Vaani pulls over, parks her car, and opens a small umbrella as she steps out. The rain is heavier now, the sky dim, but the market still buzzes with movement.

She walks quickly, picking up a few essentials — a small gift bag, some sweets, maybe flowers.

Just two minutes, grab what I need, and leave.
Nothing dramatic.

(She exits the last shop and steps onto the sidewalk — and stops. The rain has picked up. The sound surrounds her. It's heavier now — insistent, honest.)

(sudden pause)
"Wait."she softly said

She slowly lowers the umbrella. Then — closes it.
Rain hits her gently at first, then fully. Her suit begins to darken with droplets. She doesn't flinch.

Vaani tilts her head back slightly, closes her eyes, and takes a deep breath — the kind you don't take often — as if letting the day, the noise, and everything else just... pause.

Her hand moves up to tuck her wet hair back, fingers running through it slowly. Her jhumkas glint under a nearby streetlight. She smiles — not for anyone else, not for any camera — just for herself.

People rush by with umbrellas and raincoats. But Vaani stands still — not bothered, not in a hurry. The world is loud, but she feels calm. Free. Real.)

From a distance, across the street or from a passing car — maybe someone watches. But she doesn't know,She's just there.,in the rain.Unapologetically alive.

staring at the sky as the rain poured down relentlessly. She wasn't even sure how long she had been there, lost in her thoughts, drenched from head to toe.

What am I even doing?" she whispered to herself.
"Vaani, if you don't reach home today, Dadi and Dadu are going to kill you!"

Panic swept over her face. She looked around as if waking up from a trance, then rushed toward her car. Her fingers fumbled to unlock it, hands slippery from the rain. The moment she heard the click of the lock, she jumped in, her wet clothes clinging uncomfortably to the seat.

She started the engine in a hurry, her breath shallow.

Without a second thought, she drove off—heart pounding, mind racing—not just to get home, but to avoid the storm that waited inside, far louder than the thunder outside.

AUTHOR'S POV-

Vaani finally reached home, heart still thudding from the mad rush. She parked the car hastily and rushed inside, her clothes still damp and hair a mess from the rain.

As soon as she stepped into the living room, she froze.

everyone was moving around, fixing final touches for the party.

And then... her mother saw her.

Vaani's eyes widened.

Her mother stopped mid-step, arms crossed, eyes locked onto her — and not in a good way.

She walked straight up to Vaani, glaring. "What time is this, Vaani?

I told you once... just once to be on time! But no.

And just look at you! What have you done to yourself?"

Vaani bit her lip, lowering her head like a scolded schoolgirl.

"I'm sorry, Maa," she mumbled quickly. "I'll go get ready fast."

Before her mother could say anything else, she turned and rushed towards the stairs dashed to her room  wet footprints trailing behind her, leaving the chaos of the living room for the storm of her wardrobe.

on the other hand the hustle and bustle had already started. Raj was chatting with a few of his friends, while Aman and Ridhi were attending to the guests. Kiara was striking cute poses and taking pictures with her friends.

Just then, Yuvraj and Vansh came downstairs and started looking around. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Vansh made his way to the bar section and picked up a cocktail.

yuvraj went to his friend aka business partner vipul, he met him  started talking to him about work..

Just then, Kamesh and his family arrived at the party. Rajshree noticed them and, overjoyed, went along with Kusum to welcome them.

"Oh come on, Kamesh! You took so long to get here," she said cheerfully as they hugged each other.

The rest of the family members also greeted one another warmly.

Vaani ended the call and began walking inside. She was wearing a beautiful pink Anarkali suit, paired with heavy earrings, a small bindi, and soft nude makeup that highlighted her delicate features.

As she stepped in, just a few feet into the Mansion, she accidentally bumped into someone, almost slipped, but before she could fall, a strong, muscular arm wrapped around her waist, steadying her.

Startled, Vaani froze for a moment, her eyes tightly shut in shock.

When she didn't feel any pain, she slowly opened her eyes — and was taken aback. Her eyes widened in surprise as she quickly steadied herself on her feet.

YUVRAJ'S POV-

I was heading outside for a quick smoke when suddenly, someone bumped into me and nearly fell,I caught her just in time before she hit the ground.

But the moment I looked at her — my eyes froze.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!!!

I-it's her. It's really her... the same girl!!!!

She steadied herself on her feet, adjusted her outfit gracefully, and finally spoke,

"I'm sorry... I was distracted by my phone."

God. Her voice.
It was soft, melodious — like a song you don't even realize you've memorized, but it stays with you. The moment she spoke, something fluttered inside me... butterflies? Maybe more than that. Her voice did something strange to my heart — like it reached some untouched corner of it.

And then... her eyes.
Hazel brown, deep and intense — like the sea just before a storm, calm on the surface but holding untold stories beneath. There was something in them — a quiet depth, a pull I couldn't explain. I found myself getting lost in them without even trying.

She kept talking, maybe explaining something... but honestly, I wasn't listening.
My mind?
Gone.
Lost in her voice.
In her eyes.
In her presence.

Just then, Vansh came over and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Bhai, where are you lost?"

Then he looked at her.

" Hello, you must be Vaani, right?"

She nodded politely and gave a soft smile.

God, that smile...
It did something to me. I don't know what, but it did like it reached straight into my chest and messed something up.

But... wait.
How does Vansh know about her? and why is she smiling to him,I had no idea. somewhere deep inside, I felt a strange sting — like jealousy.

But why?

Why did it bother me so much.

Yuvi bhai she is dadu's friend's grand daughter,i just take her inside.

he nods and went from there.

Vaani's POV:

The moment I looked up... I froze.

I had never seen him before — not even in passing — and yet, something about him made my heart skip a beat. For a second, it felt like everything around me faded into silence.

My breath hitched.
I didn't know him... but why did it feel like he was meant to be here?
Like... he was here for me.
Like this meeting wasn't random — it was written.

Our eyes met, and something in that moment shifted inside me. A strange pull... a quiet intensity. I couldn't explain it, but I felt it. Deeply.

And just as suddenly, someone else walked up to him, put a hand on his shoulder, and they spoke. I stood there quietly, still trying to gather myself. Before I could even understand what had just happened, the other person gently guided me inside — toward his family.

He walked away...
And I was still standing there, heart racing, as if I had just walked out of a dream I didn't want to end.....
